Lancaster Lucky Strikes Name Evan Flynn as Head Coach

LANCASTER, S.C. — The Lancaster Lucky Strikes are proud to announce the hiring of Evan Flynn as the organization’s Head Coach, bringing a strong blend of local roots, high-level playing experience, and a passion for player development to the program.

A native of Lancaster, Flynn has deep ties to the community and a lifelong connection to the game. A multi-sport athlete growing up, he excelled in both football and baseball before graduating from Buford High School. He continued his baseball career at USC Lancaster and later at Francis Marion University, where he earned his degree while competing at a high level.

During his playing career, Flynn gained valuable experience across some of the most competitive summer leagues in the country, including the Valley League and the Cape Cod League. He also spent a season playing independent professional baseball in Illinois, further expanding his understanding of the game.

Off the field, Flynn currently serves as a Project Manager for Weather Guard Roofing & Restoration, while remaining closely connected to baseball through coaching and mentorship.

“This opportunity means a lot to me,” said Flynn. “Being able to coach in my hometown and give back to the community that helped shape me is incredibly special. Baseball has given me so much, and I’m excited to help the next generation grow both on and off the field.”

Flynn emphasizes that his coaching philosophy goes beyond wins and losses, focusing on player development, accountability, and building lasting relationships.

“Success isn’t just measured on the scoreboard,” Flynn added. “It’s about growth, teamwork, and leaving the season better than we started. I want our players to develop as athletes and as people, while representing brotherhood, respect, and competing the right way.”

Under Flynn’s leadership, fans can expect a competitive and fundamentally sound team that values hard work, discipline, and community connection. His vision for the Lucky Strikes centers on creating an environment where players can thrive, build lifelong bonds, and make a meaningful impact both on and off the field.

The Lancaster Lucky Strikes look forward to an exciting season ahead with Flynn at the helm, as the organization continues to strengthen its presence in the community and provide a high-level collegiate summer baseball experience.
